ELIZABETH NEWTON
Elizabeth Newton (b. 2001, Fort Worth, TX) lives and works in New York City. She holds an MFA in Painting from the New York Academy of Art and a BFA in Studio Art from The University of Texas at Austin. Working across painting and printmaking, her practice explores the weight of commitment, doubt, and devotion through layered feminine imagery and faith-inflected symbolism. Newton has exhibited at Sotheby’s New York, the Mexic-Arte Museum, and Flatbed Press, among others. She was a finalist for the AXA Art Prize in 2024 and is the 2025–2026 recipient of the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Award from the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts. Her work is held in private collections in New York and Texas.
